Argentine Tango – One of the most beautiful Tangos. This dance has developed over the last century in the city of Buenos Aires. This dance is a true dance of leading and following. A dramatic, yet passionate and sexy dance which concentrates on foot action.

Cumbia - An extremely popular and fun dance rhythm from Colombia but also popular in Chile and Mexico amongst others. Often classified as salsa, played in 4/4 time with a heavy beat one and accentuated beats three and four, giving a loping rolling rhythm similar to “riding a horse”. A lot of people claim that the music to this dance tingles their body and makes them want to get up and dance even if they don’t know how to dance it.

Merengue – This dance began in haiti and Dominican Republic when a military officer was wounded in battle and developed a limp. A celebration dance was given to the great hero returning from the war. Instead of embarrassing their hero (who limped on his wounded leg while dancing), all the men limped as they danced too. Thus the Merengue was born.

Salsa – The word “Salsa” means sauce, therefore denoting a “hot” flavor. The music styles of Salsa was developed by Puerto Rican musicians in New York. The Pattern is similar to the Mambo, though breaking on the one instead of two.
